Since early 2007, the InnovationsAllianz of NRW Universities has supported collaborations with businesses, associations, and other economic and social institutions to make North Rhine-Westphalia an innovation leader in Germany, using know how and knowledge transfer as well as research and development. Universities, universities of applied sciences, and university spin-off organisations from all of NRW have joined forces in Germany's largest university association of this kind.
Cooperation offers in research and development are aimed at businesses from almost all industries, as well as social and economic associations and institutions in public welfare.
